Broken lid

i wish i had read the reviews before i purchased this unit. now 7 months later and the lid is broken at the hinge! my last samsung washer lasted 13 years this one 7 months i guess brand loyalty is meaningless. the lid has a metal hinge but the rest is all plastic and thin plastic at that. no wonder the hinge broke there. if you lower the wash basin and try to close the lid it puts pressure on the lid and the hinge to me this is a design issue and a manufacture defect but i will bet i will be stuck with a piece of crap washer in 5 months when the 1 year warranty expires

so...the month after our 1 year warranty ended, the soak tub broke. plastic just snapped in half! then today i closed the washer to start a load and again the plastic snapped. makes no sense! you pay good money for the product but its in reality made poorly and simply does not last. so disappointing.

Does not get clothes clean!

spent a lot of money on this set 2 years ago and what a mistake. have tried any different settings i could. just does not take the dirt it of clothes. we use very good detergent as well. was a christmas present for my wife and she regrets getting rid of it 20 year old washer because it actually cleaned!

Do not buy a Samsung washing machine!

originally bought a samsung washing machine that was recalled due to the lid popping up in the corner ( the plastic popped up and the hinge was exposed). i should have never gone with another samsung washer but i did because they covered it 100% due to the recall. i have since had the lid on the new washer replaced twice due to the same problem and now need a third new lid! samsung covered the cost for both of the lids and currently i am awaiting a callback from them about this recurring problem. twice i have called and they have assured me that they will be calling me back. two different customer service reps told me they created a ticket for me in order to get a call back and neither person did it correctly according to the third person i spoke to today.

warranty expired before we purchased the product lol we purchased the product 7/13/20 and the warranty expired in may! we called samsung customer service with screenshots of our purchase on best buy of the product but they said it wasn’t enough proof...i went to the store for a duplicate copy and called again, but samsung customer service still refused to help us. thank god we did not throw out our old washer. we are currently using the old one while the new samsung washer collects dust. steer clear of this product!
