Stainless refrigerator with ice maker

Realize that it replaced a 10 year old model. I own a 1978 full size deep freezer and a 1987 refrigerator. My guess is that the old ones lasted so long that the appliance companies could not make a big enough profit so they now make refrigerators that last maybe 10 years to make higher profits. Guess they do not consider landfills to be a problem. Plus with hurricanes all the refrigerators will be duct taped and piled into mountains that will fill up land gills.
